Every week I round up the best grocery deals I see at Kroger, Aldi, Food Lion, and Sam’s Club so you don’t need to spend hours combing through ads. Whether you’re wondering what’s on sale at Kroger this week, looking for good deals at Aldi, or just trying to stretch your grocery budget a little further, this is where you want to be.
This week I’m sharing deals at: Kroger | Aldi | Food Lion | Sam’s Club

New here? Here’s How to know if you’re overpaying on groceries
Kroger Deals This Week
With Kroger, you can usually check the weekly ad the night before the new sales start. Sales run Wednesday to Tuesday, although Kroger frequently has “weekend only” deals that run Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday.
Kroger has an app and a free loyalty program. You absolutely need it to get the sale price. Don’t shop at Kroger without it, or you’ll spend too much.
*Load digital coupons before you shop. Use up to 5 times in the same transaction. Important: Buy all you want (up to 5) in one transaction because after you use it once, the coupon is gone.
*Buy 5 Save More promotion means mix and match any 5 participating items; you don’t have to buy 5 of the same item.

Aldi Weekly Ad
I’ve shopped at Aldi since before it was cool, because they simply have good prices and quality on par with any major store brand. Aldi was actually an industry leader in offering healthier store-brand products. Before everyone else was talking about it, they removed synthetic colors, MSG, and partially hydrogenated oils from their store-brand foods. And they had the best prices.
Prices have crept up since 2022 like everywhere else, but Aldi is still worth it. If you’ve never shopped there and feel nervous, just ask me. I would be happy to walk you through it.
April 1-7, 2026

- sweet potatoes .59/lb
- brussels sprouts, 12 oz frozen $1.49
- peas, 12 oz frozen .97

My favorite things to buy at Aldi:
- Supreme pizza (take and bake) 16″ for around $8
- whole wheat sandwich bread for less than $2
- canned tuna
- cream cheese
Food Lion Weekly Deals
I’m still learning Food Lion, but here’s what I’ve figured out: they have genuinely good prices and store policies that make them worth your attention. If you have a Food Lion near you, sign up for the MVP program — same idea as Kroger, you need the card.
Here’s something I stumbled onto that I want to make sure you know: click through Food Lion’s emails and claim every offer you see. They’ll give you things like $2 off when you spend a certain amount in produce, and that money comes straight off your total at checkout. No hoops, no complicated planning. I’ve saved $8 before without even realizing I was doing it. You can do old-school super-shopper math — buy five of this between these dates — or you can just do what I do: click all the buttons, shop as usual, and occasionally watch a nice chunk disappear from your total at the register.
Food Lion accepts competitor coupons. They do also have digitial coupons I think are still worth paying attention to, but unlike Kroger they don’t feature them prominently in the ad. Still figuring that part out, and when I learn more I’ll share with you.

Sam’s Club Deals
Sam’s Club doesn’t have a traditional weekly ad. Prices are generally good all the time, with occasional markdowns called Instant Savings that last about a month. I include Sam’s here as a price check: if I notice something on sale at a grocery store that’s already cheaper at Sam’s, I’ll call it out.
My husband and I have had a Sam’s membership for a long time, and I’ve written about how it saves us money if you want the full picture.
Instant Savings
- Body Armor (works out to approx. .68 ea)
Things I consistently find at a good price at Sam’s:
- Rotiserrie chicken for under $5
- Coleslaw mix
- Romaine lettuce, 6 heads
- Organic baby spinach, 1lb
- Spring mix salad
- Raw nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts)
- Shredded or chunk cheese

My Methodology:
In my current city, I shop at Kroger, Food Lion, Aldi, Sam’s Club, and sometimes Walmart. That sounds like a lot, but I don’t hit all of them in one week — usually just two per trip unless everyone has amazing deals.
Most of my stores are close together, which makes this doable. I wouldn’t drive all over town to save 50 cents.
First, I look at the sale ads each Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. I’ll take note of who has the deals I’m most excited about. Then, I also know where to find the regular groceries I buy cheapest, like coffee and bread. Here are some examples:
Aldi and Walmart: 100% whole wheat bread for under $2, many produce items, canned tomatoes, tuna, flour, sugar, etc.
Kroger: Sales that beat Aldi prices, like cheese, ice cream, butter, eggs, etc. Also they have the beans and brown rice I can’t always get at Aldi.
Sam’s Club: Member’s Mark coffee, On the Border chips and Sam’s Club fresh salsa, organic baby spinach, six-pack Romaine lettuce (lasts forever), raw coleslaw mix, hummus, trash bags, frozen blueberries, carbonated water.
Food Lion: I’m still learning this store, but they sometimes have really good sales! It’s right by my house, but I keep on driving if something’s not on sale, because their regular prices are too high for me.
